Here at A Purpose and A Stitch, we’re all about making a positive difference in the world we live in, especially via means of crochet and knitting.

One of the biggest world-issues close to our hearts is Modern Day Slavery.  It is unsettling and uncomfortable to think about, we are firm believers that that just solidifies the fact that something needs to change.

While it feels so much more pleasant to turn a blind eye or try not to think about it, the only way we can fight to end this appalling act is through education and action.  YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

We’ve compiled a list of our favorite websites and organizations aimed at eradicating human trafficking and hope you’ll join in the cause by educating yourself, family and friends of the realness of slavery today.  We also hopes this will help spur on other actions that can make a difference.

Actions as simple as buying Fair Trade certified goods to donating your money, makes and time to organizations focused on ending Modern Day Slavery.
